GP Out of Hours in Ireland
Every free HSE out-of-hours co-op and paid online GP service, by county — an independent directory, not run by any of the services listed.
How HSE out-of-hours care works
These are phone services first, not walk-in clinics — call the number for your area even if a treatment centre’s own listed hours make it look closed. A nurse or GP triages the call, and the outcome depends on what you need: phone advice, a callback appointment at a treatment centre, a home visit, or — rarely — being told to go straight to an emergency department. Most co-ops answer from around 6pm to 8am on weeknights and 24 hours at weekends and bank holidays, well beyond any single centre’s in-person opening hours; see each service below for its actual phone line hours. It’s free at point of contact for medical card and GP visit card holders. Coverage can vary right at a county boundary — the HSE’s own out-of-hours finder confirms the exact service for any address. Always call 999 or 112, or go to your nearest emergency department, if a life is at risk.

D-Doc
Covers north Dublin. South Dublin is covered separately by DubDoc.
Phone line: Weekday evenings 6pm–8am, 24 hours Saturday, Sunday and bank holidays
DubDoc
Covers south Dublin, based at the Meath Primary Care Centre, Heytesbury St, Dublin 8. North Dublin is covered separately by D-Doc.
Phone line: In-person clinic: weekdays 6pm–10pm, weekends 10am–6pm. Outside those hours on weeknights (10pm–8am), it's phone consultation only — GPs are still available by phone and home visits are reviewed case by case.
SouthDoc
Phone line: Mon–Fri 6pm–8am, Sat–Mon 8am–8am, 24 hours on public holidays
ShannonDoc
Covers Clare, Limerick and north Tipperary. South Tipperary is covered separately by Caredoc.
Phone line: Weekdays 6pm–8am, 24 hours weekends and public holidays
Caredoc
Runs two regional lines: the south east (Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Waterford, south Tipperary, south Wicklow) and, separately, Sligo, north Leitrim and west Cavan. South Tipperary and south Wicklow only — the north of both counties are covered by other services.

KDOC
Treatment centres in Naas and Celbridge.
Phone line: Phone line: weekdays 6pm–8am (lines open 5:30pm), 24 hours weekends and bank holidays — covers the whole county, including Celbridge patients. The Naas clinic runs those same hours; the Celbridge clinic is weekends/bank holidays only, 10am–6pm, but the phone line is still open 24/7 that weekend regardless.

Covers Donegal and south Leitrim. North Leitrim is covered separately by Caredoc. Sligo is covered by Caredoc, not NoWDoc.
